Tooting My Own Horn // Zazzle is Cool

The lovely Autumn of Fall For Design (the blog, Zazzle shop, & etsy shop) sent me this screen shot the other day:
See that bright pink Carpe Diem poster near the bottom there? Yeah, that's mine.  On the front page of Zazzle!  Are you kidding me!  Zazzle has been a shop for me that I've really not paid any attention to.  Now, I don't recommend that you do that if you want to have success - but I've noticed that I've continued to make sales in this shop. Out of all the designs on Zazzle, I stand out enough to make sales. See my shop here!

I've been so distracted from all my other shops - and am feeling very distant from them - but this one is something I don't have to worry about.  I'm not doing the printing or the shipping & it's a huge relief that I don't have to.  Zazzle is a bit of a passive income for me right now (is that good? is that bad?).  And I know that since I'm having success I need to focus on this.  (ps. Autumn has been such a great person in this crazy, weird journey.  We exchanged so many emails that I so slacked on and I'm sorry Autumn!  I appreciate your every word & your time to contact me!!!)  But I am not focused on what I need to focus on right now.  I think that Zazzle is a great option if you like to design & your designs are unique.  You can really design & let it sit.  Another thing is that if your designs are good, they should be good years from now.  I've tried not to do anything fad-ish - so that later & later & later the designs will be relevant.

And then I got a promotional email (I think you can see the full email here) from Zazzle where my poster was featured!  I was so blow away.  I'm very excited to see that some of my designs have been advertised!  I was also honored to have my Graduation Announcements featured around the beginning of the Summer as well.  That one I did know about!

I dunno, I just wanted to toot my own horn just a bit & give a little insight into why Zazzle is a great option if you like designing things but don't quite want to get into printing or just want to see what happens.

toot! toot!

xoxo, Moe

  1. I know what you mean about the difference between sites. My ebay store sells itself, I just keep uploading stuff and bang it goes. Etsy I always just feel is my dead horse and feel its a lot of work just to get a sale on it. I really don't understand why it had to be so different between the two. But I guess I'll just keep trying!
